2000年4月1日に東京吉祥寺で開催されたアンビエントパーティ。正確には第一部が4月1日の吉祥寺スターパインズカフェで、4月2日が井の頭公園だったらしい。
これはアンビエントやチル系の涼音堂茶房という日本のレーベルが主宰したもの。全国的にはあまり知られたレーベルでは無かったと思いますが、日本のテクノを紐解くと、オリジナルというか初期を創ったのがSublime、とれま、Syzygy、Transonic、Soup-Disc、East Edge等だったとすれば、次世代的に多くのレーベルが誕生したものの一つだったと思います。FORM@ RECORDSもその一つを担ったと信じていますが、他にこの涼音堂茶房やFly rec.、竹村ノブカズのChildisc等々がありました。
これ、わたしも行った記憶がありますが、FORM@ RECORDSを背負って参加してくれたのはMAG-NET-WAKERやMISTY FUZZで知られるDJ LEFTBROWNでした。彼は確かJazztronikが主宰したFlower Recordsからもリリースしていたと思います。改めてフライヤーを見ると故・Rei Harakamiも参加してたんですね。昔の作品が大好きなB2-Dep'tの加藤幹雄は涼音堂茶房として参加してたんだ。ご愁傷様。
アンビエント、チル系のイベントだったんですが、DJ LEFTBROWNは冒頭こそFORM@ RECORDSに提供したMAG-NET-WALKERのアンビエントな雰囲気で始まったものの、以降、結構ハードハウス系を連続で掛けていて、主宰者が焦ってました（爆笑）後で聞いた話では吉祥寺スターパインズカフェの店員さんにはバカウケしてたらしいです。
ここに先の竹村ノブカズのChildisc所属で参加していたスッパ・マイクロ・パンチョップというろくでもないアーティストも参加してたんですが、それはどうでもいいとして、同じChildiscからリリースしていたアーティストのアルバムをFORM@ RECORDSのサイトでこき下ろしたら、本人からクレームメールが届いて（もう誰だったか記憶もないですが）、最初はいかにろくでもない音楽なのかを説いてたんですが、だんだんとヒートアップして、脅してきたので、これはサイコなヤツだと思って引きました。そんな記憶も蘇ってきました。
でも、FORM@ RECORDSのリリース曲をDJで箱で聴くという貴重な体験でした。レーベルオーナーの星さんとはどうやって出会ったのか記憶が無いですね。結果的に涼音堂茶房のコンピ「Garden Path」にVIRGOの未発表曲を提供し、VIRGOはDJもLIVEもやらないので、DJ LEFTBROWNにお願いしたということでの参加です。

An ambient party held at Kichijoji, Tokyo on April 1, 2000. To be exact, it seems that the first part was Kichijoji Star Pine's Cafe on April 1st and Inokashira Park on April 2nd.
This is presided over by an ambient and chill Japanese label called Ryoondo-Tea. I don't think it was a well-known label nationwide, but if you look at Japanese techno, if it was Sublime, Torema, Syzygy, Transonic, Soup-Disc, East Edge, etc. that created the original or early days. I think it was one of the many labels that were born in the next generation. I believe that FORM@ RECORDS played one of them, but there were also Ryoondo-Tea, Fly rec., Nobukazu Takemura's Childisc, and so on.
I remember doing this, but it was DJ LEFTBROWN, known for MAG-NET-WAKER and MISTY FUZZ, who took part in FORM@ RECORDS. I think he also released it on Flower Records, which was presided over by Jazztronik. When I saw the flyer again, the late Rei Harakami also participated. Mikio Kato of B2-Dep't, who loves old works, participated as Ryouondo-Tea. My condolences.
It was an ambient and chill event, but DJ LEFTBROWN started with the ambient atmosphere of MAG-NET-WALKER provided to FORM@ RECORDS, but since then, it has been running a lot of hard house events and presided over. The owner of the event was impatient. According to the story I heard later, it seems that the clerk at Kichijoji Star Pine's Cafe was fooling around.
There was also a crappy artist called Suppa Micro Panchop who was a member of Nobukazu Takemura's Childisc, but I don't care about that, but I released the album of the artist who was released from the same Childisc. When I dropped it off on the FORM@ RECORDS site, I received a complaint email from him (I don't remember who he was anymore), and at first I was preaching how bad the music was, but it gradually heated up. I was threatening, so I thought this was a psychotic guy and pulled it. Such a memory has revived.
However, it was a valuable experience to listen to the release track of FORM @ RECORDS with a DJ in a box. I don't remember how I met the label owner, Mr. Hoshi. As a result, we provided VIRGO's unreleased track to the Ryoondo-Tea comp "Garden Path", and since VIRGO does not do DJ or LIVE, we asked DJ LEFTBROWN to participate.
